Position Summary: The Assembly Supervisor will provide day-to-day supervision to the staff in the RotoControl, Panel Shop, and Finishing assembly areas. Coordinate and/or collaborate with team and other departments to ensure schedules are held, cost and quality targets are met, and a culture of continuous improvement is achieved. Encourage and motivate staff to own assigned tasks to achieve completion of high-quality machinery that exceeds customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee and direct the activities of production employees
• Manage production employees’ schedules to meet customer deadlines and needs of the area..
• Track job hours by targets and other KPI’s.
• Provide feedback regarding production schedule dates.
• Communicate to team daily the workload direction.
• Maintain the production schedule via the Job Dispatch. Ensure open jobs are completed on time.
• Communicate daily with the assembly manager on concerns, direction, updates, and operational needs
• Identify training needs and work towards a plan to accomplish.
• Oversee the orientation of new hires.
• Prepare and conduct employee evaluations.
• Coach and mentor employees to their highest ability.
• Provide up-to-date prints and schematics for assembly personnel.
• Support assembly activities by creating, maintaining, and writing production reports and records.
• Communicate with Engineering during phases of a job to discuss design and functionality concerns. This includes any pre-job meetings initiated by Engineering.
• Work with Engineering concerning suggested changes, challenges, or opportunities. Submit ECO’s if needed
• Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
• Create NCR’s and follow up on replacements. Communicate the urgency as needed.
• Work with Customer Coordinators to expedite critical parts (Purchased, Outside Processing, Manufactured}.
• Maintain inventory of stocked parts, perform routine cycle counts and purchase bin stock parts
• Appraise the quality and design of parts from machine shop, subassembly, and suppliers.
• Perform an end-of-job rack review, return all parts and reconcile any differences
• Coordinate with Test staff to ensure open issues are completed.
• Assist in scheduling activities, including interacting with internal departments and suppliers.
• Maintain and complete electronic files and needed documentation.
• Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
• Oversee and continue Lean Manufacturing and 5-s concepts
• Conduct job audit at time of shipment, check for completed operations, issued parts and appropriate documentation.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Experience, Education and Training:
• High School Diploma or equivalent in experience and education.
• 5 to 7 years’ experience with manufacturing processes and techniques is required, preferably in an OEM manufacturing environment.
• 2 to 4 years’ experience leading teams in a production environment.
• Strong computer skills, including excel.
• Understanding of both mechanical and electrical assembly process and concepts
• An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
