Position Summary

The Inside Sales/Contracts Manager will manage the entire sales administration process. They and their team will manage the incoming order process with the sales and engineering/operations team to ensure new customer contracts meet internal company requirements and stage gates and support sales personnel with order entry and communication with customers on status of their orders and any open issues.  They will lead the new order kick-off process to ensure orders are entered timely, all internal stakeholders are informed, and the customer is fully kept informed of their order status.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the inside sales representatives team
  • Work with their team to ensure orders are complete and entered into the system timely.
  • Communicate with customers and external sales personnel
  • Ensure the team contacts the customer for dates/deliveries and updates
  • Review any contracts that are provided and ensure we know the content as a company and that we are meeting the contract requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and meeting notes
  • Work with legal team, if needed, to ensure compliance to contracts
  • KPI development and improvement plans
  • Support price books and pricing model increases
  • Process improvements for efficiency and procedure development
  • Lead working with other departments on improving customer and downstream communication and quality
  • Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
  • Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met
  • Build an open-communication environment for your team
  • Perform other job-related duties as required

Required Experience, Education and Training

  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven work experience as an Inside sales manager and experience in an engineered products/capital equipment business
  • Hands on experience with MRP software and MS Excel, word, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
  • Previous experience with contract management
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude
  • BS degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
